    Writers block...

A feel a stirring inside and I can't explain it. Almost a type of 'alertness.' I've been unable to write mainly due to the "wanting to say something but not able to put into words" phase. There is so much that has been made aware to me and I don't know what sense to make of it.

If feels as thoug God has become this whirlwind around me, churning and mixing everything around me while I stand in the eye of the storm watching all these things go by. My ministry is being shaken. The people involved are being shaken and even myself, I am being shaken. Yet, why?

But not only that, with global situations too. The economic crisis, the war, issues with money, major corporations struggling to stay open. In no way am I saying that we are in the 'revelation'. That is nonsense. We are in the middle of something so incredible, so scary and so awe-inspiring that it is complete chaotic.

I read an article the other day from the United Methodist Reporter and one of the authors wrote a statement about if the United Methodist Church will have a future of consquence in American Christianity (Click here for article). His answer to such a statement is yes, as long as we are passionate and are shapers of the future; stay ahead of the curve.

I'm not sure what God is doing but we are entering a time where our whole world is being tried and God is purposefully throwing himself into the mix of it. I don't think that he is looking for defenders of the faith. That is an old debate. I believe that He is calling for those who are willing to be a net for all those falling. Someone to find relevance in the strange. In the time of a storm, there is always a moment of stillness. Where are you?

Hey, I just addressed this very issue Sunday. Haggai and Hebrews both deal with the idea that God is shaking the heavens and the earth, but not for random reasons. He's doing so in order that those things which can't be shaken can remain AND so that he can bring prosperity and blessing to His kingdom.

I've been telling our people that the Lord is stirring in a really deep pot these days.

So then what do we do??? Where do we go???

All I hear is God say, "Get ready" not in a "Jesus is coming back" type of way, but a way that people that are hurting are going to need a net. It's almost as if he is calling his church to listen and watch...

All it is doing is stirring inside of me and making me very restless and uneasy. Thoughts?
